Why is 15-year-old firm having a ‘grand reopening’?

Nottingham Fine Framing has been open for 15 years in Newport Beach. So why is it having a “grand reopening” picture-framing-560celebration Nov. 11 and 12 (3 to 7 p.m.)?

Founders Michelle and Gustav Vafadari sold the business about four years ago to focus their attention on their children.

Now that their daughters are virtually grown they have reacquired the shop at 4229 Birch St., suite 170, remodeling the  space and expanding to add a gallery to feature artwork of emerging artists.

The store name is taken from Robin Hood, the Vafadari children’s favorite childhood story.

They took time off to focus on their children, and now 4 years later, they’re virtually grown.
My, they do grow up fast, don’t they!
