Fuel Systems Solutions Inc., which recently announced that it is moving its headquarters from Santa Ana to New York,  has bought the power systems business of Teleflex Inc., a healthcare and aerospace company in Pennsylvania.

The deal for $14.5 million in cash  closed Aug. 4.

Fuel Systems designs and makes cost-effective, alternative-fuel components for engines.

“This acquisition includes three segments: industrial and transportation alternative fuel components and systems and auxiliary power systems,” said Fuel Systems’ CEO Mariano Costamagna.  “The technology and products acquired expand our robust global platform and furthers our growth strategy.”
