Earth Friendly Products, a Garden Grove manufacturer of environmentally friendly cleaning products, is giving its 165 employees bonuses equal to a week’s pay because of  record-breaking quarterly results.earth-friendly-logo

The bonuses, totaling $125,000, come despite a continuing recession, “in recognition of the dedication and hard work (the employees) have contributed toward Earth Friendly’s ascent,” the company said.

The employees are in California, Illinois, Florida and New Jersey.

“No one has control over this volatile economy,” CEO Van Vlahak said. “However, we do have control over how we recognize the hard work of our employees. By supporting and rewrding them from within during our good times…we send the resounding message they they’re valued.

“We believe that our valued employees will see us through this recession and well beyond,” he added.

It is not the first time Earth Friendly has shared the wealth with its workers. In December when it had 120 employees, it gave $700,000 in Christmas bonuses.

And a year ago when gas prices pushed above $4.56 a gallon - wow! that’s a bad memory - the company gave a week’s pay to help employees fill their vehicle tanks.

Earth Friendly, founded by John Vlahakis in 1993, has international distribution of more than 60 household products, more than 25 industrial/bulk commercial line and 16 natural pet care products. These products do not contain toxins, petrochemicals, bleach, ammonia or phosphates.

Do you know of other employers giving bonuses right now?

Not bad for average wages for these employees, if the article is correct. ‘….bonuses equal to a week’s pay …’ $18.94/hr for filling bottles with oily orange smelly liquid.

I’m sorry, but did the government approve this in advance? If not, everyone will have to give their money back immediately. Why?

    Obama no like.

This money should have gone to the tax collectors. Just because.
