O.C. firm bought by Massachusetts company

Axiom Microdevices, an Irvine supplier of mobile phone amplifiers, has been bought by Skyworks Solutions of Woburn, Mass.
Skyworks is an $860 million semiconductor company that makes a variety of products for mobile communications.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Skyworks says the acquisition won’t boost earnings in 2009, but expects gradual growth in later years.
